Lo, Morning Has Broken (3rd Edition)

Composed by Denis Toh (Date: 26th January 2006, Time: 4.21am)

At the kiss of the dawn,
The golden morning breaks
Like the first spring of season!
Splendidly the sun emerges from his sphere
Herald daylight with his glorious beams
And shadows flee and hide in despair.
Gaily the earth greets the brand new day,
Embraces it with all her glory!
Light of the day warms gently our affection
As sweetheart and I welcome the morning mood
Of passion and pleasure, as we kiss
And bond our souls in heavenly bliss
Like wings of love and hope
Soar to elysium, beyond and perpetuity!

The Path

Composed by Denis Toh (Date: 19th January 2005, Time: 9.53pm)

Our love is on the path to nowhere;
All my life I've thought our love would last.
Alas, how gravely wrong I am
For every path hides a corner our eyes can't see.
I've had a vision that I walk by your side
As you wrap your arm around mine,
And hold me tight... never let me go
But now you're torn apart between me and fate,
For your path in life leads us drited apart.
We've our love and destiny all right in our hands
Yet you've chosen to abandon everything.
We've it all just you and me
But the doorway to your heart is forever locked.
Maybe I'm young and naive in the ways of love
Or maybe I'm desperate for reasons to believe
That our love will never fall.
You yield yourself completely,
Leave me hanging by your thread.
Now all alone by myself
But the path that we've journeyed together
Will not be forgotten from my memory
And one day will lead me again to the door of your heart.

Perhaps...

Composed by Denis Toh (Date: 18th January 2006, Time: 6.05pm)

"Perhaps we just be friends... no more or less," you say;
This is as I've reckoned from your lips.
I've been wondering frequently of late
But our beginnings never know our ends!
Yet why you choose this road,
Which leads me to nowhere but despair.
My self-possession gutters and now I'm in the dark
For you ignore my feelings for you
And close your heart to prevent me from loving you.
You say "Leave it to fate..."
I myself can hardly understand...
Not knowing it's whether too tardy or too soon,
Or if I undestand, is it wise or foolish to wait for you?
And now should I have the right to smile?
